Description
Type S thermocouples (platinum – 10% rhodium/platinum)
- are applied to measurement of high temperatures – to 1300 °C;
- possible short-term use at temperatures up to 1600 °C;
- possible use in an oxidizing atmosphere;
- high strength and hardness of the corundum case;
- high thermal conductivity of the corundum cover (comparable to the thermal conductivity of steel 12X18H10T);
- wear resistance, incl. at high temperatures;
- high corrosion resistance, incl. at high temperatures.
