Diathermic device for short-wave therapy Thermopulse Сompact
Shortwave therapy – the impact of shortwave electromagnetic energy on parts of the patient’s body. When using such frequencies, electromagnetic energy is converted into thermal energy as a result of the induction of circular currents in the tissues of the body and dielectric absorption in electrically non-conductive tissues.
The Thermopulse Compact device is capable of generating up to 70 W of continuous output power, which provides significant heating in the exposed area of the body. For this reason, such exposure is often called short-wave diathermy (deep heating).
For shortwave diathermy, the 27.12 MHz band is used.
The therapeutic effect of short-wave diathermy (acceleration of healing, relief of pain, relaxation of muscle spasm, increased mobility, etc.) is determined precisely by the thermal effect.
Short-wave diathermy differs from other methods of thermal exposure in that it achieves “deep warming”.
Other methods of thermal treatment, such as infrared therapy, hot wraps, etc., provide superficial heating, while shortwave diathermy provides interstitial heating.
The Thermopulse Compact device generates a wave at the output with a frequency of 27.12 MHz, the patient is exposed to energy in continuous mode with an output power of up to 70 watts.

Unlike the classical use of continuous UHF, the use of short-wave diathermy is safer, does not burn the skin surface, does not cause hypercoagulability and irreversible damage to proteins at higher dosages.
Shortwave diathermy appears to be more effective in many cases, especially in the early stages of recovery.
