Liquid overflow thermostats with transparent walls VIS-T-08-4 and VIS-T-09-4 are designed to maintain the set temperature when measuring the viscosity of petroleum products using glass viscometers in in accordance with GOST 33, ASTM D445, IP 71, ISO 3104 and DIN 51366.

Long-term temperature stability in the internal bath
VIS-T-08-4, determined using TERKON with ETS-100: VIS-T-08 stability
A constant level of the heat carrier in the gap between the windows of the external and internal baths is ensured by the presence of a buffer bath. This design eliminates the need for frequent addition of coolant. In a standard 2-bath design, when the coolant evaporates, its level between the windows of the outer and inner baths quickly decreases, which interferes with the observation of viscometers during the measurement process.
Built-in heat exchanger for connection to a water supply or through-flow cooler when the control temperature is set below or slightly above ambient temperature.
Holders for glass viscometers are included in the scope of supply.
