Description

Accurate and reliable measurements in the toughest conditions

METTLER TOLEDO InPro6850i Dissolved Oxygen Sensors are 3-electrode, digital measurement systems. An optional separate platinum electrode ensures high signal stability when analyzing low concentrations of dissolved oxygen.
Thanks to ISM digital technology, the connection and configuration of the system is carried out automatically and takes a few seconds. Advanced diagnostics allows you to plan sensor maintenance in advance. InPro6850i sensors can be calibrated in the lab on a PC using the iSense software.

The InPro 6850i Oxygen Sensor is designed to provide accurate and reliable continuous dissolved oxygen measurements to meet the most stringent hygiene and pharmaceutical and food industry requirements. The design of the sensor is based on the Clark polarographic cell.
The main difference between the InPro 6850i sensor and the InPro 6800 is the use of digital ISM technology. A microprocessor is mounted at the base of the sensor, which allows processing the current signal into a digital one with further transmission to the transmitter.

Benefits of ISM Technology

  • Easy to connect: when connected, the transmitter reads information from the sensor’s microprocessor and automatically adjusts to its parameters
    • Additional diagnostic information about the state of the sensor – adaptive calibration timer (shows how much time is left until the next sensor calibration), adaptive maintenance timer and sensor “life” indicator (after what time it will be necessary to change the cathode-anode module)
    • The distance from the transmitter can be increased up to 100 m without signal distortion
    • Ability to calibrate the sensor in the laboratory when connected to a PC (calibration data is stored in the sensor and read by the transmitter when connected)

Distinctive features of the sensor

  • sensor maintenance time (replacement of the membrane housing or anode-cathode part) does not exceed 5 minutes, which significantly reduces downtime
    • long sensor life due to the use of the most advanced materials
    • increased sensitivity – from 6 µg/l
    • upgradeable to InPro 6900 ( by replacing the anode-cathode module)

There are two design options for the oxygen sensor – 12 mm in diameter with a Pg13.5 threaded connection and 25 mm in diameter with a fixed union nut G1 1/4”, which allows the sensors to be installed without additional protective housings.

The sealed IP 68 cable connector guarantees accurate and reliable signal transmission. The sensor is EHEDG 3 certified. When installed in hazardous areas, the sensor can be connected to an M420 series transmitter with HART protocols and an intrinsically safe circuit.
