The PT-80 “Systemat” family of light trichinelloscopes is intended for diagnosing trichinosis and sarcocystosis in veterinary sanitary examination laboratories, veterinary institutions and specialized farms using the compressor microscopic trichinelloscopy method. Diagnostics is carried out in relation to the meat of pigs, wild boars and other animals susceptible to these diseases, and also allows the detection of parasites in the muscles of fish, trematode partenids in freshwater mollusks during helminthological assessment of pastures.
The technical parameters and design of the light trichinelloscope complies with the requirements of the Guidelines for the Laboratory Diagnosis of Trichinosis in Animals of the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Russian Federation dated 28.10.98.
