The OI-35 illuminator is an accessory of biological microscopes of the Biolam (Mikmed) series and, together with the microscope condenser, is intended for studying transparent objects in transmitted light.
Technical description:

The optical scheme of the illuminator consists of an incandescent lamp and a two-lens collector, an iris diaphragm, a mirror and a protective glass.
The illuminator is installed in the socket of the microscope base and connected to the mains through the power supply. The design of the OI-35
illuminator is placed in a silumin housing and is built-in in relation to the microscope. The design of the OI-35 illuminator allows you to adjust the brightness of the illumination using the knob on the power supply, as well as change the diameter of the field diaphragm using a special handle.
