Description
The apparatus (grain divider) is intended for mixing a grain sample and extracting average and average daily samples from it, dividing the average sample in half and separating a sample weighing 25, 50, and 100 g. The apparatus is a metal cylinder with a diameter of 250 mm, in which three parts are functionally distinguished . The upper part has a hopper with a capacity of approximately 4.5 kg of grain, with an opening at the bottom of the cone, which can be opened with a ball valve and a handle. The second part, located under the funnel, consists of two separating-mixing devices placed one above the other. Each of the devices consists of a cone and a funnel connected together. The junction of the cone with the funnel around the circumference of each separating-mixing device has 8 identical holes. The grain, having scattered over the surface of the cone, moves and, having reached its base, through the mentioned holes it enters a funnel connected to the cone. From it, the grain is poured onto the second dividing-mixing device, mixed again. The funnel of the second device has an outlet (rear channel) through which half of the sample is removed from the divider. The lower (third) part of the device is another separating-mixing device. It also includes a cone and a funnel, but with two outlet channels (left and right). Each channel is equipped with a movable damper to change the size of the hole cut in the bottom of the funnel, which allows you to adjust the amount of separated grain. To regulate the size of the allocated samples, a digital scale of the dividing sectors of the devices is reinforced in the upper part of the body. The device has three metal legs,
