Whiteness meter SKIB-M is a portable device designed for express analysis of determining the whiteness of wheat (baking and general purpose) and rye baking flour and assessing its grade in accordance with GOST 26361, GOST R 52189 and GOST 7454. Whiteness meter scope: laboratories and workshops flour mills, mini-mills, bakeries, mini-bakeries, trade and food industry enterprises, organizations of the State Grain Inspectorate.
The principle of operation of SKIB-M is based on measuring the illumination created on the photodetector in the measuring channel by the radiation flux reflected from the compacted-smoothed flour surface and the illumination created on the photodetector in the reference channel, followed by calculating the ratio of the results in the two channels. All units of the device are structurally combined in one housing. After turning on the device, the dispenser included in the device kit scoops up a sample of flour of a given volume and transfers it to a cuvette. Flour placed in a cuvette has an even, flat and slightly compacted surface. The cuvette with flour is fixed on the tube of the device, and under the influence of a spring on the piston of the cuvette, flour is supplied to the object glass of the device and it is compacted. Press the button located on the front panel of the device, and digital readings are read from the indicator. Instrument readings are expressed in conventional units of the RZ-BPL instrument. After that, the cuvette is removed from the tube of the device and freed from flour. The results of two measurements should not differ by more than 1 u. e.
