Description

OWEN NPT – a series of universal signal converters for resistance thermometers and thermocouples into unified current and voltage signals: 4 … 20 mA, 0 … 20 mA, 0 … 5 mA, 0 … 10 V, 0 … 5 V, 2 … 10 V.

OVEN NPT transducers are produced in designs with mounting on a DIN rail and in European and Russian type sensor heads in general industrial and spark-proof versions. The use of normalized signals reduces the effect of electromagnetic interference in the temperature measurement circuit, simplifies the connection of temperature sensors to controllers, reduces costs by using conventional copper wires instead of specialized thermal compensation cables, and also increases the length of the communication line from the sensor to the measuring device by several times.

Functionality

  • Compatible with resistance thermometers and thermocouples (see table ” Sensor Characteristics “).
  • Setting the sensor type and temperature conversion range via the USB port.
  • Output normalized signal:
  • NPT-1 – 4…20 mA, 0…20 mA, 0…5 mA, 0…10 V, 0…5 V, 2…10 V (universal).
  • NPT-2, NPT-3 – 4…20 mA.
  • The output signal is active and does not require an external power supply (NPT-1K).
  • Operation at ambient temperature from -40 °C.
  • Resistant to electromagnetic influences according to GOST IEC 61326-2014 (class A, criterion A).
  • It is a measuring instrument with a calibration interval of 2 years.
  • NPT-1K.Ex and NPT-3.Ex are allowed for operation at facilities with explosive zones (0 Ex ia IIC).
